A hopeful Easter for the poor people of Bethlehem

This year in honour of Easter, the Franciscan Social Service Office (FSSO) will be distributing goods to the neediest of Bethlehem’s families, focusing on the elderly and widows with children.  The conditions of extreme deprivation and poverty that are faced by these people remain ever serious.

Not only does the FSSO offer social and economic support to those in need, more importantly they offer understanding, love and commitment, principles that the Franciscan friars remain dedicated to according to the spirit and values of the gospel of Saint Francis of Assisi.
