Stones of Memory: a ceremony in the Christian Quarter of Jerusalem

On 6 December 2011 at 15.30 in Saha Square, in the Christian Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem, a ceremony will take place to present the works carried out by the Custody of the Holy Land as part of the project “Jerusalem, Stones of memory” promoted by ATS pro Terra Sancta, in partnership with the UNESCO Word Heritage Centre, and made possible by the contributions of Italian Development Cooperation.

To protect and safeguard the cultural heritage of the Old City of Jerusalem in the face of a housing crisis: this is the principal objective of the project “Jerusalem, Stones of Memory”, whose works are being carried out by the Custody’s Technical Office” and are made possible through the generosity of private and public donors.

Participating in the ceremony will be representatives from the Custody of the Holy Land, the donor organizations and the beneficiary families living in the Christian Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem.
