10 June: talking about Palestinian Cultural Heritage at the SOAS University of London

Wednesday 10th June at 5.30 pm will take place the lecture “Managing Palestinian Cultural Heritage: Between Threats and Opportunities” at the Brunei Gallery (Room B104) of SOAS University of London.

The guest will be Osama Hamdan, Director of Mosaic Centre Jericho, Professor of Architectural Restoration at the Al-Quds University of Jerusalem, and collaborator with Association pro Terra Sancta for the cultural projects.

The talk will show the richness, variety and beauty of Palestinian cultural heritage through the centuries and focus on the threats to this archaeological heritage over the last decades. Professor Hamdan will focus on some of his experiences with projects that have tried to strengthen the sense of identity and illustrate the link between preserving cultural heritage and economic development.
