From Friday 29th of June to Sunday 1st of July our friend Marco Galateri of Genola, entrepreneur of Milan, was visiting Jerusalem. Great expert in ancient books and bibliophile, Marco is particularly interested in the ancient itineraries of the Holy Land. A rich collection of these tomes can be found in the library of the Custody of the Holy Land, by the Cloister of San Salvatore, or in the one of the Studium Biblicum Franciscanum. During his stay in Jerusalem he examined many books and informed about the project “Books Bridges of Peace” which was aimed to study and cataloging of texts and incunabula that can be found in the ancient stocks of the libraries.
Marco has also been able to know the different activities and projects promoted by ATS pro Terra Sancta: during his stay he visited the archaeological museum of the Studium Biblicum and the restoration site of the mosaics of the Basilica of Gethsemane, and he also went to Sabastiya to see the archaeological site and all the activities of cultural and development promotion and of development of the local community. The continuous and careful interest of Marco produced a great sense of gratification to the work carried on by ATS pro Terra Sancta, that is always ready to show it’s own projects to every friend interested in supporting the land where Jesus born.
