From the province of Bergamo a week of support for the Holy Land

Another beautiful initiative in support of the Holy Land has been organized by the friends of the Training Institute of the Holy Family in Comonte, in the province of Bergamo.

On the occasion of the Feast of St. Paola Elisabetta Cerioli, the students at the school organized a week of events: a local market where crafts, books and food products were sold; recreational activities for the elderly and children; and guided visits to the places where the founding Saint of the Holy Family Institute lived in 1800.

At the end of the week the students organized an evening to show their families the most important moments of the event, and to hand over the proceeds to help the missions of the Sisters who are managing the Institute and to ATS pro Terra Sancta, to support the children of Bethlehem.

Along with their generous donation, the young people also delivered to ATS pro Terra Sancta a phrase uttered by St. Paola Elisabetta Cerioli, which they had chosen to accompany them in organizing the event:

“It is not work that degrades man, but idleness and bad habits, and it is not art or a profession that raises or lowers him, but the extent to which his work is carried out in an honest manner, and to which his aims are holy and beneficial.”
