Syria: the appeal of the Custos of the Holy Land is spreading via Internet

The words of the Custos of the Holy Land, fra Pierbattista Pizzaballa, have resonated with great force in recent days, thanks to the extensive media coverage given to this important initiative. A large number of Internet sites, including some very popular ones, have taken up the request for aid to the Christians of Syria.

We wish to express our thanks to those responsible for this media drumbeat, which has permitted a large number of people to express in a concrete manner their generous support for the people of Syria  and the Custody of the Holy Land in Syria, during this particularly painful period.
