The month of May to the sound of music in Jerusalem: “MOM – The Magnificat Open Music” Festival

Giacomo Pizzi26 April 2012

MOM, Magnificat Open Music: The second season of the music festival organized by the Magnificat Institute–the music school of the Holy Land Custody, supported by ATS pro Terra Sancta–will take place every Tuesday in May at St. Saviour’s Monastery in Jerusalem (May 1st, 8th and 15th in the Auditorium of the Immaculate; May 22nd and 29th in the church; 6:30 PM, open admission).

The idea behind the Open Music Festival is precisely to “open the school” to welcome everyone to hear Magnificat students and teachers in recital as they perform classical pieces by great composers: Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin and others. We anticipate a diverse audience made up of both Israelis and Palestinians, along with many classical music lovers from Europe and America living and working in Jerusalem.

We extend a special invitation to pilgrims, who can relax at the end of a tiring day while experiencing one of the cultural and social activities organized by the Holy Land Custody.
