YOUR DAY IN BETHANY

Located on the slopes of the Mount of Olives, along the ancient road from Jerusalem to Jericho, the town of Bethany (in Arabic Al-Azariya) recalls the story of Lazarus – resurrected by Jesus – and his sisters Mary and Martha.

NOT TO BE MISSED:

• Visit the Tomb of Lazarus and the Franciscan Sanctuary rediscovering the traces of pre-existing ancient churches and monasteries.
• Meet  who works on the “Hospitable Bethany” project in order to preserve the ancient archaeological remains around the Tomb of Lazarus.
• Meet the women of the Shorouq association engaged in the production of local specialties.
