“The Word became flesh here”: The proclamation that brought Mary the gift of God for humanity took place in the simplicity of Mary’s home in Nazareth. The Basilica of the Annunciation now exists around that house. The Pro Terra Sancta Association is dedicated to the site’s preservation and upkeep.
The grotto where the angel greeted Mary has been severely damaged by heavy water infiltrations. As a result, the Association attempts to prevent irreversible damage.
As a result of the huge number of pilgrims who visit the Basilica, access to the edifice must be improved. Pro Terra Sancta supports the completion of these building projects.
During the month of May, in which Mary Mother of the Lord is commemorated, Pro Terra Sancta asks for particular sensitivity in financing the works within the Nazareth site.
