In East Aleppo, the epicenter of the war between 2014 and 2016, our three educational centres welcome more than 2.700 children and kids every day, offering them shelter, protection and the opportunity of returning to study after difficult days on the street and at work.
After more than fifteen years of conflict, milion of minors in Syria are excluded from school: in this context, Pro Terra Sancta's centres are places of care and learning that help the most vulnerable to start over and build their future. These are vibrant places where chirstians and muslims children study side by side, sharing activities, dreams and games
The Franciscan Care Center at Aleppo was been the first place where, in 2018, we have started to take care of the children hit by the conflict,. Here, fra Firas Lutfi and the doctor Binan have given life to a daily accompanying, patient and deep path, capable of reaching even the most hidden wounds of war. From that experience, the project "A name and a future" was born which paved the way for the openi9ng of the three educational centeres in East Aleppo ehre today we continue to welcome the children from the most vulnerable families
In our centers, the change manifest itself every day: children who not only returne to study, but rediscover self confidence, regaine their abilities and learn to dream again
