Support the Schools of the Holy Land

In lands marked by conflict and poverty, there is a hope that must not be extinguished: the Catholic Schools of the Holy Land.

They are places of peace, dialogue, and growth where children of all faiths study together. Today, due to the severe economic and humanitarian crisis, many families can no longer afford tuition fees, and numerous institutes are at risk of closing.

For over 500 years, Catholic schools have served as a vital sanctuary of education, reconciliation, and hope in the Middle East.

Across all countries of the Holy Land, the highest price is being paid by the youngest—the little boys and girls who are stripped of their most precious asset every single day: hope for the future.

What is the Solidarity Fund for the Schools of the Holy Land?

It is a concrete response to the educational emergency currently affecting the Middle East.

Through the Solidarity Fund, Pro Terra Sancta does not merely address an immediate crisis, but nourishes a widespread network of educational and social interventions capable of radically changing the destiny of entire communities in the Middle East. 1 in 3 children does not have access to education, as it is not guaranteed by the State. The Fund acts as an engine supporting the daily operation of the institutes, guaranteeing a safe haven where young people, tested by years of instability and poverty, can regain serenity, dignity, and the opportunity to build a different future. The funded projects encompass every aspect of the students' human and emotional growth, transforming the school into a living place of inclusion and redemption.

Here are three concrete examples of how this help takes shape on the ground:

The voices of the Holy Land Schools in the ANSA feature report

The impact of conflicts and the economic collapse in countries such as Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, and Jordan have made it impossible for many families to cover tuition fees. In contexts where education is not guaranteed by the state system, this puts the stability of the entire school network at risk—from teachers' salaries to heating, as well as educational services and inclusion support.

A recent feature report produced by the ANSA agency in collaboration with Pro Terra Sancta brings to light first-hand testimonies from those who live this reality every day, such as Father George Haddad (Director of the Terra Sancta College in Bethlehem) and the student Rayan Hussam Izzat Salameh.

A touching account showing how education remains the last true bastion of hope and peace.
