During the 10-year conflict in Syria, Maaloula was one of the cities that suffered the most. Here resides one of the oldest Christian communities that still speaks the language used by Jesus, Aramaic.
Even in this moment of general emergency we are together with the Franciscans in Syria to support the ancient Christian communities of this country, torn by an endless conflict.
