Located on the slopes of the Mount of Olives, along the ancient road from Jerusalem to Jericho, the town of Bethany (in Arabic Al-Azariya) recalls the story of Lazarus - resurrected by Jesus - and his sisters Mary and Martha. NOT TO BE MISSED:- Visit the Tomb of Lazarus and the Franciscan Sanctuary rediscovering the traces of pre-existing ancient churches and monasteries.
