The meeting with the Holy Land voluntary associations is back: the sixth day will be held on Saturday 19 October in Rome

The sixth day for the Holy Land associations will take place on Saturday 19 October 2013 in Rome’s Auditorium Antonianum and serves as the annual meeting between the Custody of the Holy Land and the voluntary associations which support projects there. The meeting has been organised by Edizioni Terra Santa in collaboration with ATS pro Terra Sancta.

The theme of the event will be “Faith, knowing love: the year of faith in the Holy Land”. Pope Benedict XVI wanted 2013 to be the year of faith, whereas Pope Francis has signed, in this same year, the “Lumen Fidei” (the Light of Faith), his first encyclical letter on rediscovering the strength of the Christian faith based on trust in the love of God and in His affection.  However, we cannot forget that the Christian faith sprouted up from the Holy Land itself, where the Lord lived and summoned his first friends. Still today, faith is a concrete reality in the Holy Land, embodied by real people who are often very different from one another but who are united in having answered God’s love. This day is an opportunity to find out more about their experiences, and is not to be missed.
