Pro Terra Sancta presented to the Commissaries of the Holy Land

They have arrived from all corners of the world to live together for a week of encounters, updates, decisions, common prayer and visits to a number of places, here in the Holy Land. They are the more than eighty Commissaries of the Holy Land, gathered together during these days in Jerusalem for their 3rd International Conference.

The morning of 31 January was entirely dedicated to the works of a social character that are being carried out by the Custody of the Holy Land, and as part of the program Carla Benelli presented the activities of ATS pro Terra Sancta. Introduced by the Minister General, José Rodriguez Carballo ofm, and by Giorgio Vigna ofm, the head of the Custodial Office for the Coordination of the Commissariats, Carla Benelli presented to the public the projects that have been carried out in recent years by ATS pro Terra Sancta, those in the course of execution, and those planned and desired for the future.

The Commissaries, these precious individuals called upon to maintain alive the links between the Custody of the Holy Land and the different Franciscan Provinces to which they belong, demonstrated a keen interest in the preservation works in the Holy Land, and in the support to the Christian community of the Holy Land that our projects are seeking to provide. We hope in this way to further deepen and enhance this relation of solidarity, friendship and common passion for the Land of Jesus and for the living stones that reside there.
