Bethany was one of Jesus’ favorite places since it was home to some of his greatest friends: Lazarus, Martha and Mary. This is why it is also known as the Home of friendship. It is located a few kilometers from Jersualem and its really ancient, rich in history and culture, although today is in terrible conditions.
